Thank you for helping us apply for the State rebate program. We received comfirmation in Feb that we were approved and just receive a check for the full rebate amount.
We are happy with our new system. Enjoying the variable speed blower, it makes a difference. There is also no more door slamming with the pressure changes during the cycling on and off of the system.
I could use help with one thing: there is a metallic sound that is created when the upstairs (new) system cycles off, like a damper is closing. Only happens when the system cycles off, but not every time it cycles off. I think that it depends on if it's on high or low when it shuts off and if the downstairs system is on at the same time. I haven't had time to try to recreate the sound intentionally or go up into the attic to listen more closely to where it's coming from. The noise is the most audible through the newly installed return vent in the ceiling of the master bedroom.
Any thoughts on the source of this noise? and if it can be corrected?

Around six months ago I looked into the tax rebate program to see if I qualified. I requested three different companies to submit bids for the complete replacement of our downstairs A/C & heating system. One company I had done business with before and had no real complaints. Guy's A/C sent out Chad for their bid. He was low pressure, not trying to sell me anything other than what I asked for. I really had to prod him into telling me about the whole house filtering systems offered. It turned out after talking with Chad that I would not benefit much by using the tax rebate program. Fast forward six months, I decided this is the time to replace my 16 year old unit and I called on Guy's, remembering they had the best and most complete bid (not the lowest)and called on them. Linda (front office) was able to squeeze me in that day for a meeting with Chad to go over the bid and set up installation the next day after a cancellation helping us in getting the rebate for the latest program before it expired. You can not go wrong with this company. The installers (Donnie & J.P.) are knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and polite. They both explained everything to me and to my wife in terms that we both could understand. After they left you could not tell they had even been here the place was so clean. So to Linda, Chad, Donnie, J.P., and Andra, thank you for everything and making it a painless and enjoyable experience. If you had asked me if I would ever brag about my A/C system I would have laughed at you. Now when friends and neighbors come over I do brag about my A/C system and how great Guy's A/C was to work with.

We decided to upgrade our system and take advantage of the tax rebates that were about to expire at the end of year. With less then two weeks to spare, they worked us into their schedule and we had a new system before Christmas. The crew was friendly and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and did a fantastic job! They took the time to explain the new units and controls to us. I would highly suggest them!

One year ago I had a new HVAC unit installed by your company. Donnie, with his brother-in-law were the installers. Being an engineer myself, I examined the completed job and observed the excellent craftsmanship that it took to install and solve all the issues with the installation. I was satisfied! Just this month my heating cycle was not functioning, as I remembered from last winter. I called Guy's for assistance. Donnie showed up and within a short time, a dirt daubers nest was removed and the unit was functioning again. Back to Donnie, with me looking over his shoulder and asking questions, he politely answered all my questions with patients, never showing the stress that he must have, to perform. Good men like him are hard to find, these days. I am a very happy Guy's customer, because of professionals like Donnie.

Each and everytime I have called on Guy's.I have experienced courteous and expert advice on my units. Now keep in mind that these units are 10 years old. They have kept them running for me until I can purchase a new 13 seer. For that I am thankful. These guys don't pull your leg and get you to buy something you don't need. If they can keep your old unit working, they will. I don't get on the computer much. But I felt compelled to say the technicians have been fantastic and very knowledgeable They have come out during a short notice call after 5 p.m. (Try getting any a/c service after 5p.m. from anyone, you'll have to suffer through a hot night or until they arrive the next day that's if the don't cancel on you) When I'm ready Guy's will be my stop for my new air condition. It's hard to believe that there are reliable and service conscious folks who even after service is complete will call you the next day and even later in the week to check if you are satisfied and if everything is still working. Too many companies state about their service and do nothing after service is complete. Guy's doesn't talk about their service to customers, they deliver customer service.
